Description When students are preparing for the SAT test, they often assume that the test will consist of all the concepts that they have seen in high school. While this is partly true, interestingly enough, there are many concepts present on both tests that are not taught in traditional high school courses. Some examples include single dashes, the circle equation, constants, evidence based reading, etc. The list goes on and on. In my experience, teaching students these concepts and applying them to real practice SAT test questions is a game changer for scoring higher. Besides actual concepts, I have developed simple strategies to use on each of the sections of the test that have been proven to higher scores for all of the students I have worked with (hundreds of points higher). This course consists of 32 total lectures ranging from 10-25 minutes long, covering every concept that is seen on all sections of The College Board paper and digital SAT. Within the lectures, I review each concept in depth, before providing different levels of practice questions ranging from easy to hard level, with in-depth solutions to each question. I have developed over 180 custom made, proprietary practice questions that are based on the most common concepts I see many students struggle with on the SAT. During the lectures, students may pause the video to answer these practice questions on their own before I provide in depth, efficient, and simple solutions. Besides learning all the concepts tested, students should be visiting The College Board website to take portions of practice tests that are assigned as homework in this course. In my experience, seeing The College Board's practice questions, and being able to understand what each question is asking, is key to doing well on the SAT. Throughout this course, I will be breaking down efficient strategies for answering different types of questions and applying the concepts reviewed. Applying what you learn is just as important as the learning itself! By the end of this course, students should feel confident and excited to rise to the challenge and get into the colleges they love.
