I'm not quite sure I'd be standing outside a Krav Maga gym right now if it weren't for toxic masculinity. From my sleazy boss down, the men in my life don't have an ounce of chivalry between them — so I figured if you can't join 'em, beat 'em.

Problem is, the last thing I want to do with my sparring partner is punch him in his sexy, brooding face.

Instead, I'm finding myself obsessed with what's behind that gorgeous but cryptic exterior. I want to find out what makes him tick. I want to watch him come undone.

These newbie chicks are all the same. Ready to stick it to the patriarchy.for at least fifteen minutes.

But when this wide-eyed and clearly terrified rookie squares off in front of me, I can't help but be struck by her. Like, literally. In the shin.

And okay, there's some chemistry there too. Something about Mia's body makes mine want to misbehave — and that's the last thing I should be doing with a woman as stunning as her.

Because Mia deserves better than me. Everybody does.

So why is she so hard to push away?
